Overview
The Network Engineer will provide support to assist with the designs and plans of network architectures in support of a mission critical training networks to include virtual training lab environments.
Candidates must already possess a current and active TS/SCI with Poly clearance to be considered for this position.
Qualifications
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Support in operating and maintaining networks required to support mission critical
activities and to facilitate comprehensive training - Responsible for the design, development and maintenance of networks, to include a
training network to include virtual and standalone environments - Assist in the development of documentation; to include architectural diagrams in support
of training and mission specific networks - Assisting in providing documentation and completing requirements as required to
achieve Accreditation - Assist in activities associated with establishing and monitoring training environments per
course running
o Develop, deploy, configure and maintain the Training Network
o Develop, deploy virtual environments and machines for training scenarios
o Develop, deploy, configure and maintain standalone training equipment including
hardware and software for use in training scenarios
o Assist in lab preparation and scenario set up - Assist in systems administration activities to include develop, deploy, configure and
maintain the training network domain, systems and infrastructure, access and account
control and system monitoring
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience, in network administration or
engineering, information systems, systems development and/or system administration - Demonstrated experience designing, developing and configuring tests, scenario based
labs and exercises in line with course delivery and instruction needs - Demonstrated strong familiarity with Virtual Network environments and products
- Demonstrated experience with configuration and development of networking
environments employing both software and hardware resources - Experience/knowledge with VMWARE ESX 6.7, vSphere, Windows Domain
administration (2019 server), Debian 9 workstations, NetApp - Ability to perform configuration, testing and troubleshooting of OP network infrastructure
(LAN & WAN devices) - Knowledge of Computer Network Operations/Computer Network Exploitation,
Penetration testing experience - Strong oral and written communication skills that have successfully transferred across
technical and non-technical audiences - Certifications: CCNP, CCIEE (or 10+ years of experience in IP network technology)
- Requires 12 to 15 years with BS/BA or 10 to 13 years with MS/MA or 7 to 9 years with
Ph.D.
